Watch burglars break into Anglian Water sites
Police asked anyone who lives near Anglian Water sites in to be "extra vigilant" after a series of break ins.
Detectives linked incidents at several sites in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough between November and March.
Attempts were made to steal fuel and cables at Fengate in Peterborough, Ramsey, St Neots and Abbotsley.
PC Bradleigh Bucknell said: "We're appealing to anyone who has information about these break ins to contact us."
Included in the offences was an incident at about 05:00 GMT on 17 November, when thieves broke into a site in Third Drove in Fengate and stole cable.
At about 22:30 on 11 February, Stocking Fen Road in Ramsey was broken into with cable targeted.
On 13 March, a man was captured on CCTV entering a site in Huntingdon Road, St Neots, but nothing was taken.
On 18 March, thieves attempted to steal fuel from a site in Potton Road in Abbotsley, but were unsuccessful.
The following day a second attempt was made in St Neots with three men seen breaking in, before they left empty handed.
