Hurricane Francine slams southern US with flooding rains

Residents in New Orleans witnessed heavy winds and rainfall as Hurricane Francine advanced through Louisiana. Aerial footage shows flooded communities throughout the state.

After hitting Mississippi and Alabama, leaving thousands of people without electricity, the National Hurricane Center said that by Thursday afternoon the storm had became a post-tropical cyclone.
