'To go and play at the festival is fantastic'

Kendal Calling is expected to welcome about 40,000 people to Lowther Deer Park over the weekend.

As well as headline acts including Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, The Streets and Paolo Nutini, a number of Cumbrian artists will be playing.

Barrow-based band The Silver Bars was put forward by BBC Introducing, a platform which promotes unsigned talent.

We caught up with them during a final rehearsal before they took to the Calling Out stage on Friday.
