Snap elections are an 'act of trust', says Macron

French President Emmanuel Macron has dissolved the country's parliament and called for lesgislative elections following results in the European elections.

Exit polls have shown that Marine Le Pen's National Rally are set to trounce Macron's party in a historic win.

The parliamentary elections will be held on 30 June and 7 July.
