Car smashed in high speed roundabout crash

Dashcam footage captured the moment a dangerous driver hit another car at high speed having gone through red lights at a roundabout.

Darren Marshall crashed into another vehicle after he left the M40 and drove towards the Handy Cross roundabout at High Wycombe.

Marshall, 49, of Sheperds Mead in Worthing in West Sussex, pleaded guilty to causing serious injuries by dangerous driving.

He was given an eight-year driving ban, a 17-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work when sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court.

Thames Valley Police said the crash was "a stark reminder of how reckless behaviour can change lives in an instant".
