'A boy's going hungry so his pregnant mum can eat'
A woman who runs a community food bank says it is heartbreaking how short of food families are.
Lynne Higgins, manager of Sefton Community Pantry, said one boy even told his school he was hungry but did not want to tell his pregnant mum because she would "go without [food] and we're worried about the baby".
"This is a kid, he shouldn't have that on his plate," Ms Higgins said, adding: "For us that is absolutely devastating."
