Charity-run stables saved by funds appeal
Stepney Bank Stables youth project has been saved thanks to a successful fundraising campaign.
The children's charity, situated in Newcastle's Ouseburn Valley, has struggled in recent years with increasing costs and decreased income.
A crowdfunding appeal was set up to raise £30,000 while the business is restructured.
The target which was successfully met on the final day of the fundraiser.
Morgan Place, Youth Project Coordinator at Stepney Bank Stables, said: "It's really heart-warming to see how many people in the community have wanted to step up and help."
