Watch: A ride on Oakwood's main attraction

The closure of Wales' largest theme park means thrillseekers will no longer be able to experience the excitement of Megafobia, one of the park's major attractions.

The owners of Oakwood Theme Park in Pembrokeshire said "future investment is unsustainable" and it would not be opening for the 2025 season.

Megafobia, a wooden rollercoaster featuring a twister-style layout, opened in April 1996.

Ryan Hackett has been on Megafobia 6,200 times, and was hoping to reach 7,000 rides over the coming season.

"My phone has been ringing all evening from other rollercoaster enthusiasts from all over the UK and everyone is devastated," he said.
