UK and US reaffirm 'special relationship' at G20 summit

Prime Minister Theresa May has said the UK will seize the opportunities that Brexit presents as it forges a new global role.

She reaffirmed that the outcome of the EU referendum would be put into practice and there would be no second referendum.

Theresa May was speaking alongside US President Barack Obama at a news conference at the G20 summit in China.

Mr Obama said the US would work closely with the UK to ensure there were no adverse effects in the two countries' trading relationship as a result of Brexit.
