Guernsey public sector pensions reviewed

The States of Guernsey has advertised for someone to take the lead on a review into public sector pensions.
The role of the chairman of the joint working party is to co-ordinate and manage the research and analysis due to be undertaken on the subject.
Deputy Allister Langlois, chairman of the Public Sector Remuneration Committee, said: "The review is clearly an important piece of work.
"The formation of this group is the next major step in the process."
He said work had started on the review after the UK announced its review of public sector pensions in 2010.
Currently there are more than 8,000 active, deferred or pensioner members of the island's scheme including nurses, teachers and police officers.
