Aurigny has apologised to its customers after removing four of its 12 weekday flights between Guernsey and Gatwick.

It said the reduction in services was due to essential maintenance work.

The departures from the island at 08:30 and 16:30 will be cancelled, along with the corresponding 10:00 and 18:00 Gatwick departures, until 10 February.

Commercial director Malcolm Coupar said the opening weeks of the year had seen lower demand and so doing the work now caused less impact on travellers.
