Guernsey employers urged to take on local people

Employers in Guernsey have been urged by the island's social security minister to take on local people.
Deputy Mark Dorey said the rise in unemployment was favourable when compared with other countries, but remained a concern.
He said while guest workers helped Guernsey's economy, Social Security was working with the Housing Department to encourage the employment of locals.
The number of job seekers stood at 367 at the end of December 2011.
