Channel Islands airline to open French Alps route

  • Published

Weekly flights between the Channel Islands and Chambery, near the French Alps, will start this winter, airline Blue Islands has announced.

The service will operate every Saturday from Guernsey via Jersey from 15 December 2012 to 13 April 2013.

Rob Veron, managing director, said the new route was aimed at skiers who wanted to avoid flying via the UK.

Both its main Channel Islands rivals Flybe and Aurigny also offer direct flights to cities near the French Alps.
