Isle of Man ferry sailings cancelled due to bad weather

Evening and overnight passenger sailings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire have been cancelled amid uncertainty due to bad weather.

The Manxman journey to Heysham at 19:45 GMT will no longer go ahead , neither will its 03:00 Douglas-bound return.

It comes after trips resumed resumed on Thursday evening and Friday morning.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company services have been subject to several cancellations in recent days due to gales over the Irish Sea.

The government-owned ferry firm has warned there could still be more disruption up to Sunday with the blustery conditions due to continue.
