China's tight media control on Hong Kong protests

Thousands of people in Hong Kong have been protesting over the past two weeks, calling for more freedom from China in choosing their next leader.

The protests have been reported on all over the world, but people living in mainland China have been getting a different story.

Most people there only have access to the information that the government wants them to have - TV, newspapers and the internet are all tightly controlled.

You don't get social media like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

Instagram has recently been blocked - to stop people from seeing photos of the protests.
