Designer creates poppy hijab to mark remembrance day

A young designer has created a poppy hijab for Muslim girls to wear to mark remembrance day.

Tabinda-Kauser Ishaq came up with the special design to mark 100 years since the first Muslim soldier was given a Victoria Cross medal for bravery in the First World War.

A hijab is a scarf that covers the head and neck but leaves the face clear.

The hijab also aims to celebrate the contribution of Muslims in the UK, with all the money raised from the headscarves going to the Poppy Appeal.
