GDT Nature Photographer of the Year 2020: Take a look

This beautiful picture of a hare was taken by photographer Peter Lindel in his hometown of Dortmund, in Germany. He came first in the Mammals category and won the overall prize in the GDT Nature Photographer of the Year 2020 competition. More than 5,000 pictures were sent in to the competition to be judged.

The entries were split into seven different categories: Birds, Mammals, Other Animals, Plants & Fungi, Landscapes, Nature's Studio, and Water. This image taken by Flurin Leugger captures the moment a wild coyote startled a flock of geese! It won the top prize in the 'Birds' category.
