When you think of how police get out and about, your first thought is probably a car or a motorbike.
But in towns and cities, horses can be a really useful way for police to get out on patrol.
Horses are carefully selected and trained for this very important role.
BBC Scotland Correspondent Catriona Renton has been given special access to Police Scotland to find out what goes into training a horse for the police force.
