What is your wackiest invention idea?

A YouTube channel called 'Kids Invent Stuff' run by engineers Ruth Amos and Shawn Brown help bring submissions from children aged 4-11 to life.

When 11-year-old George sent in a drawing of a giant electric toothbrush that doubles up as a gardening tool, the pair of engineers got right to work.

Taking five whole days to complete, 'George's Toothbrush' will now feature in the 70th edition of The Guinness World Records book.

The toothbrush is x10 bigger than a normal electric toothbrush and made of metal sheets and mechanical tools. It has a removable brush head feature to function as a gardening tool which has been used to scrub surfaces and trim tree branches.

Ruth and Shawn are both award-winning engineers, who use science and maths to create products, machines and systems in their jobs as engineers.

Ruth says the whole aim of the channel is to bring children's invention ideas to life. ''We like to build interesting and different things. We never thought it would be in Guinness World Records book.''

With more than 70 inventions to their name, Ruth said many of their submissions have record-breaking potential.
