A new photograph of Princess Charlotte has been shared to celebrate her tenth birthday.

The photograph was taken by her mum, the Princess of Wales, on a trip to Cumbria earlier in the year.

Her parents published it on their social media with the caption: "Happy 10th Birthday Princess Charlotte".

The Prince and Princess of Wales often share photographs of their children on special occasions like birthdays.

Princess Charlotte is the second oldest child of Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales.

She has two brothers, George and Louis.

A week ago the family celebrated the birthday of her youngest brother Louis, who turned 7.

A photo was also shared of Louis to mark his seventh birthday.

May 2: This article had a line which originally stated Prince George and Prince Louis were younger than Princess Charlotte. The line has now been corrected.
