Disney confirms live-action version of Tangled in the works

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!

Hold onto your hair because there's another Disney animated film that's set to get its own live-action remake.

And it's certainly getting fans "tangled" up!

The animated film was first released in 2010 and is based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tale.

It tells the story of Rapunzel, who has been locked away in a tower for most of her life by Mother Gothel.

Before her 18th birthday she meets loveable rogue, Flynn Rider, and together they hatch a plan for her to escape for a day to and experience the world.

What do we know about the Tangled remake?

Flynn Rider certainly found himself in a hairy situation!

At this point we don't know a huge amount about what's planned for the new film.

The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey is reportedly directing, according to Disney-owned ABC News.

So far there hasn't been any information released about who could play the characters.

It's certainly a popular time for Disney live-action remakes as Mufasa: The Lion King and Lilo & Stitch are set to be released.
