She's written loads of novels for children including 'Rooftoppers' and 'Impossible Creatures'.

She won the Blue Peter Book Award in 2014 and last year was named the British Book Awards Author of the Year.

The author's stories often have adventurous and exciting plots.

'Impossible Creatures' is about a boy who finds a hidden world of magical creatures like griffins and sphinxes, while 'The Explorer' is about children who survive a plane crash in the Amazon rainforest and have to find their way home.
