Famous teddy bears

Paddington Bear has been on many adventures over the years
The first teddy bears were thought to have been created in 1902 by two different people on different sides of the world; a toymaker named Richard Steiff in Germany, and sweet shop owner Morris Michtom and his wife in the US.
In 1926 the first Winnnie the Pooh books were published by author A. A. Milne, who was inspired by a cuddly teddy bear he had bought for his son, Christopher Robin, after a trip to the zoo.
The Paddington Bear books were first released in 1958, by author Michael Bond, and since then the marmalade-loving bear has been on lots of epic adventures on the big screen - he even met Queen Elizabeth II.
There's also the comic strip character Rupert Bear, known for his bright yellow checked trousers and matching scarf, and the alien superhero bear, Super Ted who would fly through the sky on lots of adventures.
