Before she started releasing music, Rodrigo was a pretty big deal in the acting world.

At the age of 13 she was cast in the Disney sitcom Bizaardvack and then was chosen to play Nini in the Disney+ show High School Musical: The Musical.

When producers on the programme realised Rodrigo could REALLY sing, they encouraged her to write songs for the series.

Her song All I want was so popular in the series that it managed to make it into the American singles charts.

After the success of All I Want, Rodrigo played her producers another song she'd written all about how getting a driver's license helped her through a break-up.

They loved it and, with their help, she decided to make it into a real song.

Her announcement of the song on social media app TikTok had over 43 million views.

Within hours of the song's release, had broken a string of records.

It shot to the top of the iTunes chart and became Spotify's most single-day streamed record too.

It also went straight to number one in the main singles chart in the US - the Billboard Charts - making Rodrigo the youngest artist ever to debut at the top of the chart.

driver's license was also a huge hit in the UK.

In fact, ever since releasing her first single, and album SOUR in 2021, Rodrigo has been shattering chart records here too.

She became the youngest solo artist ever to top both the UK album and singles charts at the same time.

driver's license also broke Spotify's record for the most streams in one day.

And her second album, Guts, released two years later, was no exception.

It also went straight to number one on the UK Official Albums Chart, outselling the rest of the Top 10 put together.

The album also produced the hit song Vampire which spent 25 weeks on the Official Singles Chart.

Rodrigo is a self-confessed Taylor Swift super-fan.

In fact, she's previously described herself as a "Swiftie" on her Spotify biography.

And, it appears that Taylor likes Olivia too!

When Rodrigo released driver's license, Swift endorsed the song on her own Instagram page.

Rodrigo's other big hero is New Zealand singer, Lorde.

She's played Glastonbury before

This weekend, Rodrigo is set to become second-youngest solo headliner of all time, after Billie Eilish, who was 20 when she performed at the festival three years ago.

The 22-year-old may be playing the main Pyramid Stage with just two albums to her name, however she has a huge list of massive hits including Good 4 U, driver's license and Vampire.

Rodrigo is no stranger to performing to huge crowds either - she played to over 1.4 million fans during the 95 shows of her Guts World Tour in 2024.

And it's not her first Glastonbury appearance either.

Rodrigo last played the festival in 2022, drawing a huge young crowd to the Other Stage.
