Wallace and Gromit have been featured in books, films and TV, and even had their own stamp

Wallace is a man who loves cheese and lives with his pet dog, Gromit.

Over the years they've gone on lots of adventures together across different films and TV shows.

You might also know the Wallace and Gromit spin-off show, Shaun the Sheep.

Wallace and Gromit is made using stop-motion animation.

This is a filming technique, where you take lots of images of a subject, moving it very slightly between each images, and putting those images together in order to make a video.

The characters and designs are all made out of clay.

What will the new film be about?

Wallace and Gromit will be battling an out-of-control gnome

Director and creator of Wallace and Gromit, Nick Park, says that fans have long been asking him about the fate of the dastardly penguin.

"We've had fun bringing him back in cameo capacities but now, three decades on, it felt like the right time," he said.

In the film, Nick says Wallace creates a new contraption called a "smart gnome".

"Then it hit me: What if Feathers was involved with these gnomes?

"We're hoping that this film will appeal to fans of 'Gnome Noir' everywhere and that people will be gratified when they see what Feathers has been up to since The Wrong Trousers."

The film comes out at Christmas, on BBC One and iPlayer.
