One of the biggest award ceremonies in football took place last night, where stars from the men's and women's games were recognised for their sporting success during the 24-25 season.

The winners of the Professional Footballers' Association Awards - known as the PFAs - are voted for by other players, meaning it gives footballers the chance to be recognised for their achievements by different teams.

Spanish midfielder Mariona Caldentay was the PFAs women's player of the year, after helping Arsenal win the Champions League and finish second in the WSL.

For the men, Premier League top scorer Mo Salah took home player of the year, rounding off a season where he topped the league with his team Liverpool.

The PFAs also saw awards given to managers and young players who have been recognised for a big year.
