Lightning strikes television tower in Russia

Check out these dramatic pictures of a television tower in Russia being struck during a lightning storm.

Service from the tower was disrupted for a few minutes following the strike that lit up the sky in a spectacular display.

The tower is one of the highest points in the city of St Petersburg, standing at 310 metres tall.

Lightning can travel really fast - up to a mega 140,000 miles an hour.
