An alligator turns up at front door of house in America

An alligator gave a family in America a fright when it turned up on their doorstep.

The woman who found the sharp toothed gator said she thought her husband had bought a blow-up alligator as a prank, but realised it was real when it blinked.

The family had to call a trapper to remove the 2.5 metre long reptile.

The man measured and taped the alligator's mouth before taking it to away.
