Chinese families didn't know they were eating rat meat

The horsemeat scandal was big news here in the UK, but over in China another huge food scandal has been revealed.

Recently police have arrested hundreds of people for selling rat meat disguised as other types of meat.

There are twenty times more people living in China than in the UK and it takes a lot of food to feed everyone there.

BBC reporter Martin Patience sent us this report from the capital Beijing.
