Rare snow leopards spotted in China

Three snow leopards have been spotted in the Yushu hills in central China.

The animals are endangered, which makes seeing three of them in one place a rare sighting.

The World Wildlife Fund says there's only around 6,000 of the species left in the wild.

Snow leopards being hunted for fur and a decline in their prey are key factors in why the species is endangered.
