Jessie J announces she is leaving The Voice

Chart star Jessie J has quit The Voice after two series of the show.

She said she can no longer be a coach on the BBC 1 show because she needs to focus on touring and she will be working abroad.

But she did say she would like to have some involvement in a series in the future.

She said today: "I've absolutely loved my time on The Voice and I hope everyone saw and knows how passionately I felt about the show.

"However, I can't wait to promote my new record around the world and that has to take priority.

I shall be keeping a very close eye on series three, showing my support in every way I can, and really hope that in some way that I can be part of the show."

The third series will hit our screens next year.
