Cafe scares seagulls with water pistols

Waiters who work in a cafe in Devon have been given water pistols to scare away seagulls.

The hungry gulls kept attacking customers as they tried to eat their food.

Mark Riddick from the Dairy Maid Cafe in Teignmouth insists that his staff only use a squirt from the water pistols.

The birds are protected, but Mr Riddick says the water doesn't harm them, but "shocks" them enough to fly away.
