Baby panther rescued in America

A week-old panther cub had to be rushed to hospital after it was so poorly when found, animal workers thought it might die.

The tiny creature was found at the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge in America.

Staff only found the baby panther when they were carrying out research.

Luckily, they were just in time, and the cub is making a full recovery.

He now lives at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo where zoo officials say he is active and healthy.
