Rubbish clean-up wanted for Mount Everest

Mount Everest, at 8,848m above sea level, is the highest peak on the planet - but it's also covered with mountains of rubbish.

Every year, hundreds of people attempt the climb, and leave behind them a trail of trash.

Now the Nepalese government is asking mountaineers looking to scale Everest to bring back all their rubbish - and some more besides.

They're saying anyone climbing above Base Camp - just over half-way to the top - will have to bring back eight kilos of rubbish.

That means lugging back the likes of old boots, bottles, jackets - and even tents.
