Zoo hand-rears rare baby camel
Staff at Blackpool Zoo are having to bring up a rare baby camel, because its mother has struggled to feed her.
She's a Bactrian camel, which is an endangered species.
At the moment she's fed bottles of milk five times a day but will soon be moved onto solid foods.
Bactrian camels are well equipped to survive in difficult conditions because they have two humps which help them store fat.
When they're fully grown they prefer a diet of plants, but when nutrient sources are not available in their natural habitat these animals feed on bones, and in extreme conditions can eat rope, sandals and even tents!
