What is a supermoon and where could it be seen?

Skywatchers caught a glimpse of a supermoon last night - that's the full moon which is closest to Earth over the year.

It means the full moon looks bigger and brighter than at other times of the year.

The good thing about a supermoon is that it can be enjoyed pretty much anywhere, as long as you have a clear sky and a clear open space.
