Microsoft pays £1.5bn for Minecraft game maker

Mojang, the Swedish company behind the game Minecraft has been bought for £1.5 billion by the tech giant, Microsoft.

Minecraft is one of the top selling apps in the world and has recently been developed for Xbox 1 and PS4.

Some Minecraft fans are upset that such a big company's taken over their game.

But Microsoft said it would maintain Minecraft across all its existing platforms, with a "commitment to nurture and grow it long into the future".
