King of the conkers crowned

The winner of a prestigious conker competitions has been crowned.

Computer programmer John Doyle beat 170 conker fans at the 48th World Conker Championships in Northamptonshire.

He was crowned King Conker, while beekeeper Stephanie Withall won the title of Queen Conker.

There were competitors from all over the world including USA, Mexico and Italy.
