Little spider monkey gets a new family

Chantico the spider monkey had a pretty bad start in life, but now things are looking up for her.

She's in the process of being accepted into a new adoptive monkey family at Chessington Zoo, something that's never happened with this particular species in captivity.

Zoo keeper, Lisa was Chantico's carer for the first few months of her life and had to feed her every two hours around the clock.

She said: "It's quite a challenge to get her accepted into a whole group."

We sent Ayshah to find out how she's getting on with her new furry friends.
