The Simpsons celebrates 25 years on our TV screens

Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, also known as The Simpsons family, are celebrating their 25th birthday today.

The Simpsons first appeared on television in the US in 1989.

It's now one of the world's most watched and best loved shows.

We sent Martin to Springfield - well, a UK school called Springfield! - to find out why the show is still a hit with viewers.
