Ever wondered what to do with an unwanted Christmas tree? Well the annual Christmas Tree Throwing World Championships may have found a solution...

The competition took place in the German town of Weidenthal on Sunday.

There are three disciplines in the championships - the Weitwurf (javelin-style), Hammerwurf (hammer-style), and a Hochwurf (high jump-style).
