Sarah Storey to attempt super cycle record today

Paralympic cycling star Sarah Storey is going to try and break the record later today, for the furthest distance cycled in an hour.

In an extraordinary sporting career, Dame Sarah Storey has broken 73 world records, first as a top swimmer and then on a bike.

On Saturday in London's Olympic velodrome, the 11-time Paralympic champion will try to break the women's hour record - which could be her toughest challenge yet.

The record stands at 46.065km and was set by Leontien Zijlaard-van Moorsel of the Netherlands in October 2003.
