Huge bird egg goes up for auction

A very rare bird egg, laid by a big creature called an Elephant bird, is up for auction.

At 30 centimetres tall, it is 200 times bigger than a chicken's egg and could be worth up to £50,000.

The Elephant bird is thought to have been around three metres tall.

It was a flightless bird and would have lived on the African island of Madagascar hundreds of years ago.
