Christmas tree goes up in April for Liscard, Wirral

The sun is shining and the blossom blooming, but in a town called Liscard... it's Christmas! Well, sort of.

Last year the town, which is in the Wirral, finished seventh in an online list of 13 Worst Christmas Trees in Britain.

So this year local businessman Danny McLeod put up a new tree and switched on their Christmas lights eight months early.

He thought he'd show the locals what Christmas could be like if the whole area helped out with the cost.
