Rare sighting of humpback whale off coast of Liverpool

A humpback whale has been spotted off the coast of Liverpool for the first time in more than 70 years.

Local boat workers Lee Baron and Mark Harding saw the whale in Liverpool Bay.

The Sea Watch Foundation, which monitors ocean wildlife, says there's been an increase in sightings of dolphins and porpoises in recent years because the water quality has improved.
