Thick smoke from Alaska wildfires

High temperatures, a lack of rain and snow have made Alaska very dry.

The wildfires have spread across the country and many people have had to abandon their homes and move to safer areas.

Teams of firefighters , helicopters carrying water and special aircraft have all been working together to try to bring the flames under control and stop them spreading to more areas.
