Bullying on buses 'must be stopped' says new report

A new report has said that bullying on school buses 'must be stopped'.

Bullying on school transport is a real problem for many kids, and government and local authorities need to do much more to stop it happening, according to The Vodden Report.

It says drivers should get proper training on how to deal with bullying on their vehicles, more CCTV and an adult onboard who can make sure everyone is safe.

The government told Newsround that "bullying is totally unacceptable and it's important children feel safe. We have guidance for people who run school buses to help avoid bullying and anti-social behaviour by training staff and using CCTV to make sure passengers are safe."

Leah was joined by Lydia and Alex in the Newsround studio to talk about bullying on public transport.
