Elephant rescued from mud

Rescuers in Kenya in Africa came to the aid of an elephant after it got trapped in a muddy hole.

The animal had fallen into a dried-up well during the night, and it took three and a half hours to get it back out again.

The team shovelled dirt onto the mud to make it drier, and then used ropes attached to three cars to pull the elephant free.

It was a big effort, but the 20-year-old elephant is now safe and well.
