It's getting lava hot on this Island

A volcano has erupted on the remote French island of Réunion in the Indian Ocean.

Piton de la Fournaise which translated means Peak of the Furnace is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and has already erupted several times this year.

It's a world heritage site which means it's recognized as being very important and therefore receives special protection .

Luckily no one was injured in the eruption.
