Millions of people living there have fled the country completely, in search of safety.
Aleppo used to be Syria's largest city, now it's constantly under fire, with buildings and streets being bombed.
Much of the city has now been completely destroyed.
Two brothers, called Wissam and Zane, still live in Aleppo with their mum who is a head teacher at a local school.
They spoke to the BBC's Today Programme about what life is like living in a warzone, and how they hope the leaders of the world can unite to end the fighting in Syria.
